maybe i'm completely wrong, and they're just waiting to open the flood gate of in-your-face monetization F2P titles traditionally needs aggressive engagement and rewards just for logging in (see: baiting/carrot-stick), but i get the feeling devs want to avoid that practice to preserve the "integrity" of the level 1-60 single player story experience. you have one camp claiming this title is more addictive than heroine, and a saner group of users who on the other hand, mostly understand putting a deck of cards in front of anyone doesn't automatically make them irredeemable gamblers with an addiction problemĪside from continuing to make diablo 4, i wouldn't know where to go from here either. on one hand you still have people raging but on the other hand you have people genuinely having a good time, regardless of how the raging mob doesn't want them to. I think they're still trying to make sense of this polarizing release.
